Belmont is a wonderful school with great students and a wonderful staff. I graduated from Concord University with a B. S. in education with certification in library media K-12. I taught for 2 years in Pulaski, VA starting in 2002. I joined the Belmont team in the Fall of 2005. In the library media center, our goals include helping all students to develop a love of reading and learning, cultivating an interest in many subjects, and giving students the tools they need to be efficient information managers. Throughout the year we will work on the information management process as well as experiencing and utilizing different media. I welcome parent volunteers in the library both for special occasions and everyday library tasks. Class Announcements Book Fair Luau!!!The Spring Book fair will be delivered in March! The theme is Book Fair Luau! The money raised at the book fair is used to purchase new library books for our students. If you are interested in volunteering for the library book fair please email me at rainescb@pwcs.edu.
Reading Is Fundamental (RIF)Our final RIF distribution will be in early March! RIF is a program designed to provide books for students. Each student has the opportunity to select his/her own book from a wide variety of titles. The student's name will be written in the book for students to keep at home. If you are interested in helping with a RIF distributions please email me at rainescb@pwcs.edu.

This resource provides a read-a-long option, video and audio clips as well as games and activities. The Belmont login and password are required to access this database. World Almanac For KidsThis site has a little bit of everything. There is information on a multitude of subjects as well as games, puzzles and lots of other fun stuff. |
